According to Wikipedia, Prophecy involves a process in which one or more messages allegedly communicated to a prophet are then communicated to other people. Such messages typically involve divine inspiration, interpretation or revelation of event to come.
In Nigeria, it has now
become a pattern for pastors to give a word for the year as well as prophecy for the year. This prophecies act as a watch word to followers of these different denominations, who confess this prophecy and hold on to it in the cause of the year.
There have been different conflicting and controversial prophecies over 2016 by different pastors (men of God as Nigerians call it) regarding the year. Catholic Priest Father Ejike Mbaka, who is also the founder of Adoration ministry, Enugu, in his prophecy to president Muhamadu Buhari, alleged that beneficiaries of massive corruption perpetrated during ex-President Goodluck Jonathan's administration would plot to kill him. A prophecy that is currently generating discus in the media.
An Abuja based pastor, Prophet Emmanuel Omale, the General Overseer of Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries has come up with his own version of 2016 prophecies. Prophet Emmanuel in his Prophecy said if fervent prayers aren’t offered for top stars of Nollywood, that many would either die in a deadly road accident, armed robbery attack or of high blood pressure.
One prophecy for 2016 that has cause a Numb in most hands is that of the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Adeboye. He predicts new STD, natural disasters and tough year for Nigeria.
One prophecy everyone would want to align with, would be that of The Kings Heritage, located at Aieda hall, Haruna bus stop, college road, ogba, under the leadership of pastor Lawrence Onochie. He predict that regardless of economic analysis by analysts and statements by the government that 2016 will be a tough one, he said all those who trust in the lord will experience REST. A year where you take the back sit and have God handle the wills.
Which ever prophecy you chose to align with, the choice is yours.
