CRANE COLLAPSE KILLS 107, INJURED 230 PEOPLE IN SAUDI ARABIA GRAND MOSQUE

Saudi Arabia grand Mosque in Mecca was hit with a tragic incident, when a crane collapsed in the Muslim holy city of Mecca, leaving about 107 people dead

and 230 injured.

The crane crashed into the largest Mosque in the world, filled with worshipers at the time.

Report says the collapse was caused by heavy winds and rain. Mecca is preparing to host the annual Muslim Hajj pilgrimage, which begins in about 10 days' time.

In 2006, more than 360 pilgrims died in a stampede at the desert plain of Mina, near Mecca. A crush of pilgrims two years earlier left 244 people dead.
