SENATE DIVIDE OVER BUHARI'S PROPOSED N5000 TO UNEMPLOYED NIGERIANS

Senators from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and The All Progressive Congress (APC), were in locker head in the floor of the Senate after senator Pillip Aduda, raised a motion that President Muhammadu Buhari fulfill his
campaign promises of paying unemployed Nigerians a monthly allowance of N5000.

The motion was supported by the minority leader, God'swill Akpabio but the APC senators shot it down.

It would be recalled that the APC during the campaign period, also promise to provide free lunch to all primary school pupils and also free internet as a way of assisting the SME.

Aduda's motion followed an earlier motion on the need to curb unemplyment in Nigeria by sen. Bassy Akpan from Akwa-Ibom
