NLC SLAMS GOMBE GOVT OVER TEACHER'S UNPAID SALARIES, GIVES TWO WEEKS DEADLINE

Gombe state chapter of The Nigeria Labour Congress has described the unpaid salaries of teachers in the state as
unfair even after the bailout funds released by the Federal government.

The NLC Chairman in the state, Haruna Kamara, has given an ultimatum of two weeks to the state government to pay all teachers or faced with strike action.

In response to the ultimatum, Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Education, Mohammed Bello, said the salaries is waiting approval from the state government, adding that all outstanding will be cleared as soon as possible.
